FinWiz is a free, independent trading and investing education resource. Our goal is to create the most comprehensive, accurate, and accessible encyclopedia of trading knowledge on the web. We don't sell courses, manage money, or take payment for coverage. Every guide on this site is free and always will be.

How We Create Content

Every article on FinWiz is researched, written, and reviewed by our editorial team. We focus on factual accuracy, clarity, and depth. Our articles cover established trading concepts, technical analysis methods, market mechanics, and financial fundamentals — not speculative opinions or trade recommendations.

We regularly reference primary sources including SEC filings, exchange documentation, academic research, and established financial textbooks. When explaining strategies or indicators, we use real-world examples with actual ticker symbols and historical price data.

How We Update Content

Financial markets evolve. Tax brackets change. Regulations update. We review our content on a rolling basis and update articles when information becomes outdated. Every article displays a “Last updated” date reflecting the most recent editorial review.
